Sharlto Copley, James Purefoy, And Danny Woodburn Join 'The Witcher' Season 4 Cast

The White Lotus season 3 cast member removed due to controversy

The highly anticipated Season 4 of 'The Witcher' has made some exciting casting announcements, adding Sharlto Copley, James Purefoy, and Danny Woodburn to the star-studded lineup. Copley will be taking on the role of the notorious bounty hunter Leo Bonhart, a character straight from 'The Witcher' novels. Purefoy is set to portray Skellen, a high-ranking spy and court advisor to Emhyr, a key figure in the novels. Woodburn will bring to life the beloved dwarf character Zoltan, known to fans of both the novels and video games.

These talented actors join the previously revealed cast members, including Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Joey Batey, and Laurence Fishburne. Copley, recognized for his breakout role in 'District 9,' has an impressive resume that includes roles in 'The A-Team,' 'Elysium,' and 'Chappie.' Purefoy, known for his work in 'Rome' and 'Hap and Leonard,' has also appeared in Netflix shows like 'Altered Carbon' and 'Sex Education.' Woodburn, famous for his role in 'Seinfeld' as Mickey, has made appearances in numerous TV series and is a respected advocate for people with dwarfism and disabilities in the entertainment industry.

'The Witcher' Season 4 is set to begin production this spring, following the success of Season 3, which aired on Netflix between June and July 2023. The upcoming season promises to deliver more Continent-altering events, with Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri navigating a war-torn Continent apart from each other. As they lead groups of misfits and face daunting challenges, they strive to reunite amidst the chaos.

The show is helmed by creator and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, with Sophie Holland as the casting director. Executive producers include Steve Gaub, Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Tomek Baginski, Jarek Sawko of Platige Films, and Jason Brown and Sean Daniel of Hivemind Content.
