Shane Lowry roasts LIV Golf rebel Bryson DeChambeau as he mocks himself after rope injury

Bryson DeChambeau was left shaken earlier this month after catching his eye on a course marking rope during a LIV Golf event - claiming he was struggling to see after the incident.

The American has now mocked himself by re-creating the video and celebrating ducking under a rope successfully with his friends. However, PGA Tour star Shane Lowry seized the opportunity to land a dig at the LIV Golf rebel.

Lowry is playing in this week's Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland which is set for wet weather today. The Irish golfer was unimpressed by DeChambeau's comedy effort and tweeted: "Not sure what’s worse, this or tomorrow’s @dunhilllinks weather forecast."

Former US Open winner DeChambeau was visibly hurt after hitting his face with a course rope at the LIV Golf event in Chicago earlier this month. At the time golfing fans saw the funny side with commentator David Feherty stating: "Off with his head!”

However, the American seemed hurt from the 14th hole injury immediately going down to his knees stating: "Oh my god. I can't see. Right in my eye. I can’t even see right now. The thing split my eye.”

The six foot American golfer was clearly impacted by the injury - finishing his round with two bogeys at the 15th and 16th dropping down the leaderboard to finish joint eighth.

Now the LIV Golf rebel as been filmed mocking himself for being hurt by the rope. The video shows DeChambeau psyching himself up before ducking under a rope and then celebrating as if he had won a boxing contest. He then said: "That's what I'm talking about."

PGAmemes posted the video on Instagram with the comment: "The rematch we all needed to see."

While many golf fans saw the funny side and praised the American for showing his light-hearted side he didn't impress everybody. One person commented on the video stating: "At least he didn’t cry this time."
