Vespa is a global style icon in 2025, and has been for a long time. But as you may or may not be aware, its origins came about in a time of great necessity for the people of Italy. As Enrico Piaggio would go on to prove, times may indeed have been tough, but there was still time for a dash of style to brighten up the daily lives of those who gingerly hopped on board one of Vespa's early models.
That's why, in 2025, modern-day Piaggio decided it was high time to honor its original Officina Sperimentale (which it describes rather charmingly as "a top secret mission and a workspace"), which is where the factory sent its best-of-the-best engineers to bang out their prototypes. I mean that both in a figurative and a literal sense, as workers involved in all aspects of engineering, production, and design were part of what was also called Officina 8 for short.
For the 2025 Officina 8 models, Vespa is using a very special color that it calls "Blu Officina 8," which features a matte metallic finish that sounds like it probably looks unbelievable in person. Any time you describe a finish that way, it's likely to be extremely difficult to capture all its nuances in photos, no matter how great they might be. Satin-finished aluminum and brass bits are also used throughout, both to call back to the classic Officina 8 enamel pins that were given to employees who worked in that storied section, as well as to just plain look gorgeous here in 2025.

The Officina 8 Vespa scooters consist of the Primavera 50 SE, Primavera 150 SE, and GTV 310 Special Edition. They'll be released in various markets around the world, as is the case with most things Vespa. In North America, they'll be released as 2026 models, rolling out to dealers in August 2025.
In the US, the Vespa Officina 8 Primavera 50 SE will start at an MSRP of US $4,599; the Primavera 150 SE at US $5,999, and the GTV 310 Special Edition at US $8,699. If you're in Canada, pricing for the Primavera 50 iGET Special Edition will start at CDN $5,045; pricing for the GTV 310 Special Edition will start at CDN $9,395.
All Officina 8 scooters will come with a special Welcome Kit that consists of a special commemorative tin with the Owner's Book, including all kinds of cool archival documents about the Officina Sperimentale to make it extra special.
It wouldn't be a new Vespa collection without accompanying gear and a capsule apparel collection, would it? Of course not! Your favorite classic Italian scooter maker will offer a color-matched top box, a gorgeous jet helmet, and a pair of gloves that fit the Officina 8 aesthetic.
For those who just want to wear Officina 8 style wherever they go, there will also be a capsule apparel collection that includes things like a jacket, t-shirt, keychain, and bag. Availability and pricing will likely vary by region, so keep your eye out if you're looking for some sweet new Vespa merch.
