Royal Conservatoire of Scotland students visit Lanarkshire school to share their musical skills

First-year pupils at a Lanarkshire school hit all the right notes as they welcomed a terrific trio of special guests.

Three music students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland visited Buchanan High in Coatbridge to share their skills with the keen youngsters.

A spokeswoman for the school told Lanarkshire Live: “S1 pupils have been learning about the orchestra in music.

“As part of this, we had three lovely visitors showing us their orchestral instruments, the trumpet, violin and flute.

“The ladies are all in their final year of studying music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.

“They demonstrated their instruments and told us all about playing in an orchestra.

“The pupils had a great time listening to them and we thank them very much for coming in to meet with them.”

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is a world-leading conservatoire of music, drama, dance, production and film.
