Former Manchester United star Lee Sharpe has questioned Roy Keane's support for Cristiano Ronaldo following the forward's explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
In the interview, Ronaldo criticised United, Erik ten Hag, the Glazers and former teammates like Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville, but thanked both Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand for their support.
However, Ferdinand has since come out to criticise Ronaldo for doing the interview and Sharpe is unsure for how much longer Keane can defend the Portuguese superstar.

He told OLBG: "Roy Keane is a big fan of Ronaldo because he knows how many goals he can score and what he can do on the pitch. If Ronaldo played more games and was match-fit, he would probably score more goals so I can see where Keane is coming from. But it will be difficult for Keane to be on Ronaldo's side after his criticism of the club.
"Ronaldo may have a point with the old facilities and chefs, but Ronaldo won't be there long enough to worry about things like that, he needs to set standards and an example to the players and club and to try to reach a level the club has not been at for 10-15 years. You just don't criticise the chef, whose been there for years, and the facilities, that talk is kept in the dressing room, it shouldn't come out to the news when you're an employee of the club."
Sharpe added: "Ronaldo has certainly caused a storm in a teacup.
"Ronaldo was not right to do the interview while still under contract and being paid by Manchester United. He was not right to do the interview with Piers Morgan.
"It has not worked out for him, I know he has a bit of a grievance and stuff he wants to get off his chest, but he has not been advised well. It was not a good decision."
