Robbie Williams has given fans a devastating update on his mother Janet’s dementia battle.
The Angels singer, 51, revealed last year that Janet, 84, has been diagnosed with the condition, which causes memory loss and affects a person’s thinking and daily life.
The former Take That icon has now explained that Janet no longer recognises him and struggles to understand where she is.
“My mother has dementia, and she doesn’t know who I am anymore. She doesn’t know where she is anymore,” he told fans at a recent concert in Germany during his Britpop tour.
Williams also spoke about his singer father Pete Conway’s Parkinson’s struggle and his wife Ayda Field’s mother Gwen’s battle with cancer.
“My dad has Parksinson’s and he can’t leave the house,” he shared, per The Sun.

The 13-time Brit Award winner went on: “He used to sing with me every night on stage; he would come out, steal the show, and be charming and then wander backstage for a glass of red wine.
“Now he can’t leave the house.”
Williams added: “My mother-in-law, who I absolutely worship and adore, has three illnesses. She’s for lupus, Parkinson’s and cancer. She is the most courageous lady and she is fighting, fighting, fighting."
The Rock DJ singer noted that it felt “very strange” to be the “grown up” in the situation and admitted he wasn’t “ready for it”.
Williams has previously discussed Janet’s battle with dementia, which his grandmother also suffered from.
“My mum’s currently got dementia and my dad’s got Parkinson’s and can’t get out of bed,” he told Hello! “So I’m in a different part of my life right now.”
The singer first shared his father Peter’s Parkinson’s battle in 2020.

“We’ve got a lot of family issues right now. My dad has got Parkinson’s, my mother-in-law who I love dearly has got a very big illness,” he told The Mirror at the time.
“We can’t get to them. My dad is thousands of miles away.”
The entertainer has also had his own health issues to deal with, recently revealing he was diagnosed with scurvy after taking a weight loss drug.
Williams explained that he got the deficiency disease after rapidly losing two stone with an appetite suppressant similar to Ozempic.
“I’d stopped eating and I wasn’t getting nutrients,” he told The Mirror, explaining that a lack of vitamin C left him malnourished and led to the rare diagnosis of scurvy.
