Report: Titans aren’t ‘absolutely in love with’ any QBs in the NFL draft

The Tennessee Titans are in the market for a new franchise signal-caller this offseason but the team reportedly isn’t too high on any of the quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL draft.

This comes from ESPN’s Dianna Russini, who said so during an appearance on The Buck Reising Show on 104.5 The Zone on Friday. Russini is usually pretty tapped in to the Titans, so this is noteworthy.

“As of right now, there’s not a quarterback in this draft that [the Titans’] building is absolutely in love with,” Russini said.

Of course, it’s important to note that this could very well be a smokescreen, of which there are many at this time of year.

An offer for Titans fans

However, if this is indeed the case, the Titans shouldn’t take a signal-caller in this draft. Teams forcing a pick on a quarterback they don’t have full confidence in to be “the guy” typically won’t work out well.

Tennessee’s interest in this year’s crop of quarterbacks has mostly been a mystery aside from a report by ESPN’s Turron Davenport back in March stating the Titans “really like” C.J. Stroud.

Assuming Bryce Young is off the board at No. 1, the only quarterback I can see the Titans being aggressive to get is Stroud. I also wouldn’t rule out a selection of Richardson if he falls to No. 11.

Thankfully, we’ll have the answers we’re all looking for in less than a week, as the 2023 NFL draft will begin on April 27.
