Former New England Patriots defensive back Jalen Mills has reportedly been signed to the New York Jets’ practice squad, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Mills signed with the New York Giants last offseason after finishing a three-year run with the Patriots. He started in 34 games and racked up 123 tackles, 13 pass deflections and two interceptions with the team.
He was placed on the non-football injury list and released by the Giants with a calf injury back in August. The former Super Bowl LII champion is finally healthy and looking to make his mark with another NFL franchise this season.

Mills is a versatile player with experience playing at both safety and cornerback. At 30 years old, he could still be a solid depth option for the Jets.
If anything, his presence in the locker room will be a great addition to a young and talented Jets defensive backfield.
