'Rebel MLAs dancing like they were in a bar in Goa', says Maharashtra former minister Aaditya Thackeray

MUMBAI: Shiv Sena leader and former minister Aaditya Thackeray on Saturday took a dig at the rebel MLAs over videos of them dancing on tables which went viral when they were in Goa in June. Aaditya said "33 countries had taken note of the traitors and their treachery" and that the rebel MLAs were "dancing as if they were in a bar in Goa". Aaditya also said that the current CM Ekanth Shinde government was illegal and will not last long.

"The whole world is watching how democracy is being choked in our country and being killed. This August 15, when we celebrate 75 years of independence, we will have to ask if there is any democracy left in Maharashtra," Aaditya said.

Aaditya was addressing a gathering of Sena workers in Mahim where party MLA Sada Sarvankar has joined CM Shinde camp.

"If you wanted to rebel, you wouldn't have gone to Surat and then run to Guwahati. They saw mountains and trees and hotels there, and were enjoying... They did not see the floods of Assam, the people who lost homes. Then they ran to Goa... I was shocked to see when Uddhav ji resigned, these shameless people were dancing on tables and distributing sweets. This is when Balasaheb's son resigned as CM. It was like they were dancing in a bar in Goa," said Aaditya.
