Ravens reinstate WR Devon Williams to 90-man roster

The Baltimore Ravens have opted not to bring in a veteran option at the wide receiver position throughout the course of the 2022 offseason so far, despite trading away their No. 1 wideout in Marquise Brown on draft night. They also didn’t select anyone at the position over draft weekend, so assuming Baltimore doesn’t add another pass catcher before the start of the regular season, plenty of young players will have opportunities to go out and earn snaps for themselves.

Some of the players vying for snaps as well as roster spots are the number of undrafted wide receivers that the team signed and clearly has confidence in. One of those players in former Oregon star Devon Williams was added to the reserve/did not report list on Wednesday ahead of training camp, but on Friday the team reinstated him, adding the wideout back to the 90-man roster.

Williams is a big-bodied receiver, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing around 205 pounds. He was productive over his last two college seasons, and finished his entire collegiate career with 55 catches for 941 yards and seven touchdowns.

He will be competing with others undrafted pass catchers such as Shemar Bridges, Makai Polk and Slade Bolden for a potential spot on Baltimore’s final 53-man roster.
