JAIPUR: Covid has claimed 13 lives in the state this month so far with the latest fatality being reported from Sikar on Friday, taking the toll to 9,593.
In the past 24 hours, the state reported 438 new cases which took the overall tally to 13,00,103.
Of 2,977 samples collected on Friday, 829 were collected from Jaipur, the highest in the state, followed by 367 in Kota, 214 in Jhunjhunu, 179 in Jodhpur, 160 in Alwar, 149 in Pratapgarh, 142 in Bhilwara, 132 in Ajmer and 113 in Udaipur, while no other district collected 100 or more samples.
In Tonk, Banswara, Dholpur and Karauli, no sample for Covid testing has been collected.
Active cases have increased marginally from 4,299 to 4,303 in 24 hours. The districts which have currently more than 200 active cases are Jaipur (1428), Alwar (631), Udaipur (516) and Bharatpur (215).
In the past 24 hours, Jaipur reported 183 cases, the highest in the state, followed by Udaipur (82), Bundi (29), Alwar (25), Jodhpur (20), while no other district reported 20 or more than 20 cases in 24 hours.
