Rachel Stevens' lover Brendyn 'had child with TV exec' months before romance

S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens' new boyfriend Brendyn Hatfield became a dad just months before the pair sparked up a romance after meeting on Dancing On Ice, it has been claimed.

Professional skater Brendyn reportedly welcomed a child with a TV executive connected to the popular ITV skating contest which is hosted usually by Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby in December.

And only four months later his relationship with Rachel was revealed in April, with his future with ITV is reportedly now "in doubt" amid the "controversy" surrounding the pair's relationship, according to reports in the Mirror.

Brendyn had split from his fellow pro skater wife Jessica when his baby boy was born to another woman, before it was later revealed in April that S Club's Rachel began a relationship with Brendyn after she split from her husband Alex Bourne.

A source has claimed ITV bosses are concerned over the controversial relationship, with "long and hard discussions" on his future in the show set to take place.

"Bosses remind skaters of their responsibilities before each series," a source told The Sun.

"There will be long, hard discussions before Brendyn is confirmed for another series. His future is in the air."

The new lovebirds were snapped together last week following rumours Brendyn has already moved into her lavish £2million North London home.

The radio presenter first met him in November 2021 when they began rehearsing for Dancing on Ice and struck up a friendship during their time on the show, despite being the third pair to be eliminated.

Just a month before her 13th wedding anniversary, Rachel announced she had split from property developer husband Alex Bourne, who she shares her two daughters with.

When quizzed previously if she had enjoyed learning to skate on last year’s series she said: "I met incredible people. I still see Brendyn."

Meanwhile, Rachel is gearing up to go on tour with S Club 7 later this year after the group decided to reunite. It comes following the tragic news of Paul Cattermole's death but the other band members said they wanted to go ahead with the tour.

Rachel, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara and Hannah Spearritt will travel the UK later this year where they will perform their greatest hits.

The Mirror has contacted Rachel and Brendyn's representatives for comment.
