The Premier League line-ups will be announced before kick-off – but here's how we expect teams to shape up this weekend.

Every week, we bring you the XIs that every club will likely to put out, drawing on injury information, how the teams recently lined up and who's available.

So use the navigation to see how our experts expect your team to set up this weekend…

When are the Premier League line-ups released?

Every Premier League club can name their line-up an hour and 15 minutes before kick-off.

Clubs can choose to go earlier, of course, with managers like Marcelo Bielsa, for example, choosing to name his teams up to a day in advance. Such a power move.

When is the Fantasy Premier League deadline for transfers?

This week, the GW3 deadline for FPL is at 11am BST on Satuday, August 30 – 90 minutes before kick-off of the weekend's first fixture.

Line-ups for the first game of the season between Chelsea and Fulham will drop 15 minutes later.

Arsenal

Arsenal line-up against Liverpool

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has several injury issues to contend with: Bukayo Saka is likely to miss the trip to Anfield, as he's picked up a hamstring injury, while Kai Havertz is still sidelined with a knee problem.

The shoulder impact that forced Martin Odegaard off against Leeds United may not sideline the captain for Liverpool, but a reshuffle will still have to take place in the frontline: Noni Madueke, who started on the left last week, will probably move to his preferred right, giving Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli a likely start on the left.

Unless, of course, Arteta unleashes new buy Eberechi Eze from the off… the England international is a candidate to start on that left flank, or in midfield, should Odegaard fail to recover in time.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa line-up against Crystal Palace

Aston Villa are without Boubacar Kamara in midfield, after he picked up a hamstring injury – that makes Unai Emery's selection decision a little easier in midfield with Amadou Onana and Youri Tielemans the likely double-pivot.

In defence, Ezri Konsa returns from suspension and will likely slot right back in. Ross Barkley, meanwhile, is still a longer-term absence.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth line-up against Tottenhmam Hotspur

Bournemouth could field Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert, with both close to returning, but are more likely to stick with the XI that has impressed thus far, as Alex Scott and David Brooks both enjoying good form.

Julian Araujo is suspended after picking two yellows in midweek, in the Cherries' League Cup defeat to Brentford.

Brentford

Brentford line-up against Sunderland

Brentford boss Keith Andrews has selection decisions to make across the pitch, with only Vitaly Janelt and Yoane Wissa the Bees' two major absences.

Dango Ouattara is in line for another start after netting last week, Jordan Henderson may well start in midfield and Keane Lewis-Potter is vying with a resurgent Rico Henry at left-back – Mathias Jensen, Rico Henry and Fabio Carvalho all playing 90 minutes in midweek would suggest that none of them will start this weekend.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton & Hove Albion line-up against Manchester City

Brighton enjoyed a 6-0 thumping of Oxford United in the cup in midweek – from the XI who started, Jack Hinshelwood is likeliest to gain a place in Fabian Hurzeler's starting XI.

Brajan Gruda impressed and could feature from the off, while the choice of whether to start Danny Welbeck, Georginio Rutter or both will be another question for the German manager.

Burnley

Burnley line-up against Manchester United

Burnley impressed with their promotion-winning 4-2-3-1 last week against Sunderland and manager Scott Parker may look to stick with it in favour of reverting to a back five once more.

Given that Parker rotated his team entirely midweek – he didn't give anyone who started against the Black Cats a single minute in the cup – it's expected that he'll stick with a very similar line-up at Old Trafford.

Chelsea

Chelsea line-up against Fulham

Chelsea still have concerns over the fitness of Cole Palmer, but the England man is hoping to make the squad to face Fulham.

It's probable that Joao Pedro and Liam Delap start with one another but another option remains: Estevao could tuck in centrally, force Pedro Neto to the right and allow Jamie Gittens to return on the left. Reece James is hoping to return to right-back ahead of Malo Gusto.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace line-up against Aston Villa

Crystal Palace will likely miss Will Hughes and Odsonne Edouard, both absent for the Conference League clash with Fredrikstad midweek: Eberechi Eze's exit means that a reshuffle is likely, with Daichi Kamada an option in attacking midfield behind Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Marc Guehi may play his last Crystal Palace fixture (who knows?), leaving much of the rest of Oliver Glasner's line-up unchanged.

Everton

Everton line-up against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Everton are hoping to welcome Vitalii Mykolenko to the XI after the Ukrainian returned midweek in the cup – but Jarrad Branthwaite (hamstring) and Nathan Patterson (hernia) are still absent.

James Garner could return to midfield, pushing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall forward and Iliman Ndiaye out to the right. Beto vs Barry remains David Moyes' choice up front.

Fulham

Fulham line-up against Chelsea

Fulham lost Harry Wilson midweek but have Ryan Sessegnon and Antonee Robinson back among the fold at left-back.

After cameo appearances from the bench, Emile Smith Rowe may return to manager Marco Silva's XI as a left-winger, with fellow former Arsenal man Alex Iwobi pushed out to the right flank. Rodrigo Muniz is likely to keep the no.9 spot.

Leeds United

Leeds United line-up against Newcastle United

Leeds have all kinds of selection decisions and will miss two key midfielders in Ao Tanaka and Ethan Ampadu, who are both out until after the international break.

Joel Piroe has started both Premier League games so far but after an insipid performance away at Arsenal, he played 90 minutes against Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup – which indicates that perhaps Lukas Nmecha will get the chance to start as a more physical option in attack.

Sean Longstaff is in line for his first league start against his former club.

Liverpool

Liverpool line-up against Arsenal

Right-back and central midfield remain the only areas of selection trouble for Liverpool – with the two positions connected by Dominik Szoboszlai, who was excellent on Monday night away to Newcastle.

The Hungarian could continue in that role but the return of Conor Bradley offers a more natural option. Szoboszlai will have to compete for a spot with the returning Alexis Mac Allister in midfield.

Arne Slot is likely to name a similar attack, despite the temptation to switch things up.

Manchester City

Manchester City line-up against Brighton & Hove Albion

Manchester City have Josko Gvardiol out injured and Rayan Ait-Nouri doubtful. Academy prospects Nico O'Reilly and Rico Lewis are, of course, fall-back options.

Rodri's return is being managed carefully, Savinho and Mateo Kovacic are still unavailable and in attack, Pep Guardiola has the choice between the likes of Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden, Omar Marmoush and Rayan Cherki: all are able to play in just about any which way, making it difficult to predict exactly how the Sky Blues will set up.

Manchester United

Manchester United line-up against Burnley

Once again, Manchester United could hand a first start to Benjamin Sesko but are more likely to continue with the front three of Mason Mount, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Luke Shaw may return in the back three after the horror of the Grimsby defeat, but aside from that, Ruben Amorim may look to keep things relatively similar to how he's lined up thus far.

Newcastle United

Newcastle United line-up against Leeds United

There are major issues at Newcastle United again in terms of squad selection, with the most obvious being up front, following Anthony Gordon's red card against Liverpool – with Eddie Howe left little option but to go with Will Osula up front, who scored against the Reds on Monday night.

Fabian Schar's concussion could pave the way for Malick Thiaw's first start, while absences punctuate the midfield. Sandro Tonali and Joelinton are both casualties from the Liverpool clash, leaving Howe with a conundrum to solve. Bruno Guimaraes will likely move to no.6, flanked by Lewis Miley and Jacob Ramsey.

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest line-up against Crystal Palace

Nottingham Forest could well name an unchanged XI, with no new concerns on the treatment table.

Nicolas Dominguez is the only long-term casualty, while new boys Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha are pushing for places in Nuno Espirito Santo's plans.

Sunderland

Sunderland line-up against Brentford

Sunderland only have issues in defence, with Dan Ballard joining Luke O'Nien as a casualty. Niall Huggins felt discomfort midweek and will likely miss out this weekend, too.

Regis Le Brie has new signing Nordi Mukiele to welcome into the side, though may wait to start him.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur line-up against Bournemouth

Tottenham didn't actually play with the 3-5-2 formation we expected last week – so Thomas Frank could name an unchanged team to host Bournemouth.

Destiny Udogie is close to returning, Dominic Solanke is pushing Richarlison for a start and in midfield, Joao Palhinha, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Sarr, Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray are all vying for starts.

West Ham United

West Ham United line-up against Nottingham Forest

West Ham United have major concerns after a terrible start to the season and could look to pack out the midfield against Nottingham Forest.

Freddie Potts could come back in for a start, Matheus Fernandes and Soungoutou Magassa probably won't be registered in time for the game, while in attack, Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Nicklas Fullkrug are all options for Graham Potter's front two.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolverhampton Wanderers line-up against Everton

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira has a decision to make in whether to play the Newcastle-linked Jacob Strand Larsen. With the Norwegian not agitating for an exit, however, it seems probable that he may start against Everton, in what may be his final game in gold.

Ki-Jana Hoever is a doubt at right wing-back after missing midweek, with Pereira having plenty of selection questions in attack: Joao Gomes and Andre are likely to continue in midfield.
