Police send out appeal to trace man convicted of sexual offences in Glasgow

POLICE are appealing for information in a bid to trace a man found guilty of sexual offences.

David McCue, 41, was convicted at the High Court of Glasgow of committing sexual crimes against a woman and a younger girl on March 17, 2023.

However, he failed to appear for sentencing on March 31. Police are now actively attempting to trace McCue and are warning the public not to approach him.

He is known to frequent the East End of Glasgow and is described as white, 5'10', with short brown hair.

Detective Sergeant Michelle Rodger of the Public Protection Unit said, “I would urge this man to hand himself into police or anyone who has information relating to his whereabouts to make contact with the police.

Members of the public are urged not to approach but can contact Police Scotland via the 101 non-emergency telephone number or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
