PARIVISION eliminate the Falcons from BLAST Open Rotterdam

PARIVISION shut down the Falcons once more, taking two close map wins in their journey to the semifinals at BLAST Open Rotterdam. NiKo, who had been fiery in his interview with HLTV, was shut down across Mirage, going kill-less for the first half. Even when the Bosnian returned to the fray on Ancient, PARIVISION showed their tenacity once more, with Dzhami “Jame” Ali closing the series out.

Mirage – Jame 1v1 to deny Overtime – 13-11

Falcons started with a B take on the T side, immediately forcing a PARIVISION save with two headshots. Jame’s crew held their fire till round three, where rifles in jungle gave the team their first round win. A similar setup in the following round proved just as successful, as Falcons just couldn’t shut down xiELO. Missing utility, and missing headshots allowed PARIVISION to take the lead, and control the entire half. For the first time in CS2, NiKo ended the half with 0 kills, as PARIVISION led the way with a 9-3 lead.

The pistol round nearly went the Falcons’ way, as NiKo finally found his first kill, but BELCHONOKK brought down both remaining CTs to win the pistol round. Falcons finally found their footing in the CT-side, up against double digits, but PARIVISION were keeping the pressure up with force-buy success. When the dam finally burst, with m0NESY failing to hold the Ts alone on B, Jame’s team pounced on the opportunity, quickly locking in matchpoint.

Falcons held on for a couple rounds more, as kyousuke led the charge for the international side. But in the final moments of the match, Jame hit the one bullet he needed onto m0NESY to deny overtime and close the map out 13-11.

Ancient – PARIVISION’s late game strength shows once more – 13-10

Another pistol round went the Falcons’ way, starting Ancient on the front foot. But once again it was the gun rounds that gave PARIVISION the edge. This time, nota found four massive kills, including a 1v2 clutch, to snatch away the first. A beautiful bit of trickery from zweih turned the tables in round five, as the rifler backed down from B ramp, only to swing back into the angle, blowing m0NESY’s AWP out of the server. The former-Spirit player then turned to the A-site, winning a 1v1 against NiKo to extend the team’s lead.

kyousuke and TeSeS’ B-play allowed Falcons to stay in the fight, winning the final round of the half for their fifth. Continuing the Mirage-story, PARIVISION jumped into the second half with a pistol round conversion for double digits. NiKo, who had been absent on Mirage, stepped up to the plate in round seventeen, finding a double-kill from cave that brought Falcons into the game at last. As the broadcast pointed out, Falcons were regularly finding bomb-plants on their T-side, and keeping their economic momentum strong throughout the comeback.

It could have still unravelled in round 20, though, as nota beat the Falcons to the A site late in the round and nearly denied the bombplant. Ultimately, kyousuke’s fast aim prevailed over xiELO, bringing Falcons to 10. But even with NiKo’s fantastic multikill in Red Room, Jame outsmarted his opponents, cracking open the smoke and denying Falcons a bombplant to lock in double digits. That would be the end for the international roster, as PARIVISION closed the series out 13-10.
