Oklahoma City Thunder win their first NBA title since relocation

  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Oklahoma City Thunder to the NBA championship, defeating Indiana in Game 7.
  • Gilgeous-Alexander was named the Finals MVP, capping one of the best individual seasons in NBA history.
  • He became only the fourth player ever, and first since Shaquille O'Neal in 2000, to win the scoring title, league MVP, and Finals MVP in the same season.
  • The 103-91 victory secured the Thunder's first title since the franchise relocated from Seattle in 2008.
  • Gilgeous-Alexander, a key figure in the team's rebuild, led the young Thunder to a 68-14 record, averaging 32.7 points, 6.4 assists, and 5 rebounds.
