NTA viewers spot 'fuming' Loose Women stars' reaction to This Morning win after Holly and Phillip 'booed'

Viewers watching the National Television Awards at home think they have spotted a 'feud' between some of ITV's biggest stars after clocking the reaction to This Morning picking up the gong for Daytime for the fifth consecutive year.

The ITV daytime show saw off competition from Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop to take home the award on Thursday (October 13) during the ceremony held at London’s OVO Wembley Arena. It comes soon after the pair faced criticism over the past couple of weeks following claims they skipped the queue for the Queen’s lying in state.

As the popular programme was announced as the winner by Strictly Come Dancing pair Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin, Phillip was seen putting his head in his hands and appeared to hold back tears while Holly looked equally as surprised and thrilled as she immediately hug her co-star and off-screen 'bestie'.

Holly, 41, then rushed off to embrace Alison Hammond, who had not long missed out on a solo award for TV Presenter, before heading up onto the stage, But while their fellow TV stars applauded it has been reported that the crowd around them audibly booed, according to reports.

However, viewers spotted the moment that while the majority of the Loose Women did clap, albeit seemingly unhappily, Linda Robson and Judi Love did not join them.

@julianhilaire tweeted: "The Loose Women girls faces said it all.." @vicki_liv posted: "Even the #LooseWomen weren’t impressed when #ThisMorning won #NTAs." @lewispringle noted: "The Loose Women standing up for Alison and not Phil and Holly. Lol. #NTAs."

@PrincessPKaur commented: "The loose women were not happy!! Fuming! #ntas #ntawards." @Woodox76 shared: "Loose women aren’t impressed are they? #NTAs."

Collecting the award for This Morning in front of the live audience and live on ITV, Phillip, 60, said: "Don’t think we ever get complacent and please don’t think we ever take this for granted. This means so much to us every year, especially this year. We have the most amazing team. I have the best friend, we have the best boss."

Holly, 41, added: "Thank you so much, this award means everything because it is voted by you, and I think This Morning has a very special relationship with you. You make our show for us, you really do."

Alison, 47, who hosts the show on Friday with Dermot O'Leary, said she was “grateful” for this award, but that she felt she should have won in the TV presenter category instead of Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

She said: “I ain’t going to lie but we all know I should have won one of these as well. Bradley Walsh, Graham Norton and the legends that are Ant and Dec are amazing, but let’s be honest, I should have won one but This Morning won one anyways."
