However, this is not the only update; the mobile version of the platform is going to roll out a bunch of new updates in the coming time. In a series of replies to users on X, the team confirmed that it’s also working on chat-saving functionality and expanding mobile support to include features like Cards, Quizzes, and source discovery. All of these features are already available on the web version.
Apart from that, features like “Save chat for later” and “mobile parity” were among the most requested ones, and the NotebookLM team hinted that both are on the way. One reply even teased that mobile updates are coming “very, very, VERY soon.”
Recently, the company also improved the video overview feature using its Nano Banana model, which can generate contextual illustrations from uploaded documents. This makes complex topics easier to understand through visual summaries. The update also introduced six new visual styles, including Watercolor, Papercraft, Anime, Whiteboard, Retro Print, and Heritage, along with two video formats, “Explainer” and “Brief,” for different learning needs.
