Niece Motorsports has sold a majority ownership in the team to Josh Morris, the CEO of DQS Solutions & Staffing, as well as Greg Fowler, the CEO of J.F. Electric. Al Niece has been the majority stakeholder of the team since its inception in 2016, but will now take a backseat to these long-time partners. However, the team will not change its name.
Cody Efaw has been named as the new president and CEO of the 'new' Niece Motorsports, along with Amanda Efaw as the Chief Marketing Officer. Phil Gould, who led the team to a majority of its Truck wins as a crew chief, will become the Director of Competition.
“This partnership is a continuation of the momentum we’ve built over the last several seasons,” said Al Niece, founder of Niece Motorsports. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished. This change allows me to return to the heart of why I got into racing – the passion and excitement of competition – while entrusting the business to partners who believe in our team and our people.”

Niece plans to run four trucks for the remainder of the 2025 season, showing a commitment to expand the team's presence on the Truck Series grid. At Richmond this weekend, the team has the No. 41, No. 42, No. 44, and No. 45 trucks, and will have a shot at the owner's championship in the upcoming playoffs.
Niece Motorsports has nine victories in the Truck Series, all of which came with either Ross Chastain or Carson Hocevar. Both drivers took the team to the Championship 4 in 2019 and 2023, respectively. Chastain, who still runs a handful of races with the team each year, finished as high as second in the championship standings with Niece. Chastain was also present at the announcement, and appears set to continue his relationship with the team into 2026.
