Eddie Howe is looking for additional cover at right-back and in midfield - if the right deals come along today.
Howe stated that there would be "no major business" only on Tuesday but by the same token insisted Newcastle were "still looking" meaning the door is ajar on some potential deals.
United are believed to have made an enquiry for West Ham youngster Harrison Ashby to cover for Emil Krafth.

The main piece of outgoing business today is likely to be goalkeeper Martin Dubravka who is poised to sign for Manchester United.
Howe stated last night he would be leaving the club on deadline day after four and a half years of service.
It is understood Howe has been told there are extra funds to spend if he needs them but he is eager to bring the right type of characters to the club.
