New York Giants star Daniel Bellinger shows off body transformation after busy offseason

New York Giants star Daniel Bellinger has shown off his impressive body transformation as the NFL offseason continues.

The Giants have been taking part in organised team activities (OTAs) over the last few weeks as their preparations continue to take shape. Work has already been undertaken with the rookies that were selected in April’s NFL draft, as well as the other new recruits.

Bellinger is getting ready for his third season in the NFL after being drafted by the Giants in the fourth round last year with the 112th overall pick. The tight end played 12 games in his rookie season as the Giants finished 9-7-1 and third in the NFC East.

With Bellinger and the other Giants players getting ready for the 2023 regular season, the team’s Twitter account posted a series of photos of some of the players in practice. Bellinger was in one of the photos, and his physique has certainly got a lot of attention across social media.

USA Today reporter Art Stapleton remarked on Bellinger’s physique by posting a tweet that showed two photos of the tight end - one from last season and one from the recent OTA. In a caption for his tweet, Stapleton jokingly said: “Hearing Bellinger was bitten by [a] radioactive spider in [a] recent trip to NYC museum. Waiting to confirm,” making reference to Marvel’s Spider-Man film from 2002.

One Twitter user responded by saying: “Art, you're confusing Marvel characters. He’s more like the Hulk than Spider-Man”. While another said: “That boy Bellinger got shredded.”

Bellinger scored two touchdowns in his rookie season for the Giants with 30 receptions and 268 yards. And his performances, which helped the Giants reach the divisional round of the NFL playoffs last season before being beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles, have certainly got people’s attention.

One such person is fellow tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Super Bowl winner listed Bellinger as one of the best in his position across the NFL.

“There are a few great tight ends out there,” Kelce told NJ.com in February. “I don’t know if there are any that remind me of myself, but there are a few guys I’m excited about.

Kyle Pitts (of the Atlanta Falcons) being one of them. (Jake) Ferguson down in Dallas and (Daniel) Bellinger over in New York. I’m excited to see how these guys manifest over the next few years, and we’ll see where they can take their game.”

Expanding further on what he admired about Bellinger, Kelce added: “He’s just an awesome athlete. He seems like he has that professional drive to be the greatest tight end that he can be.

“That’s what I saw from him at Tight End U (last offseason). He was trying to be his greatest self every single day. I could see his determination and his focus and those are the kinds of traits that give you a chance to be great, especially when you have a guy like Mike Kafka up there in New York.”
