NBA Black Friday: Jose Alvarado is the biggest steal for Friday DFS lineups

Putting together a winning DFS roster is like hitting on an eight-leg parlay. You’ve got to be almost perfect and can hardly afford to have any misses in your lineup. Given the money you’re allocated, piecing together that roster can be really dang hard.

Here at Bet For The Win, we want to lend a helping hand. We’ll help you find the low-price, high-reward players that’ll help your roster building.

Thanksgiving Thursday is in the books and Black Friday is here. The somewhat celebrated day of deals might have people popping off their couches and hitting their local stores for the best deals.

But in actuality, the best deals are right at your fingertips this Black Friday. Over at FanDuel, NBA fans can find several players with awesome price tags that’ll provide value for DFS lineups.

We talk about them all here:

Point Guards

(Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports)

Jose Alvarado – New Orleans Pelicans ($4,700)

C.J. McCollum will miss Friday’s game against the Grizzlies (health and safety protocols), which will give Jose Alavardo every chance to annoy Memphis’ ball handlers. As a starter, he’s averaging 10.7 points, 5.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 threes.

Cameron Payne – Phoenix Suns ($6,700)

Like Alvarado, Payne will be playing big minutes as he replaces an injured starter (Chris Paul). In seven starts, he’s putting up 18.9 points, 6.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.0 threes per game.

Shooting Guards

(Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports)

Kevin Huerter – Sacramento Kings ($5,800)

The beam has been lit all season long in Sacramento and Kevin Huerter has certainly played a role in keeping it that way. He’s a big-time scorer when he gets hot and can provide some playmaking as well. $5,800 is a low price.

Austin Reaves – Los Angeles Lakers ($5,400)

One of the most reliable guards on the Lakers’ roster who might see more minutes as Patrick Beverley misses three games due to suspension.

Small Forwards

(Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports)

Terance Mann – LA Clippers ($4,600)

No Kawhi Leonard? No Paul George? No problem! Well, maybe for the Clippers. But for Terance Maan? Nah. He’s going to play a role on Friday night that he played last season when he lead the team in minutes. Expect production.

Josh Hart – Portland Trail Blazers ($6,500)

In case you haven’t been paying attention to the Pacific Northwest, Portland has been a fun story that is made up of a bunch of guys playing together and playing hard. No Blazer fits the description better than Josh Hart. He gives you a near-double-double (9.6 points, 8.1 rebounds) along with 4.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

Power Forwards

(Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports)

Aaron Gordon – Denver Nuggets ($6,200)

Quietly, Aaron Gordon is having his best NBA season since the late 2010s. The 3-point shooting is there (a career-best 38.1 percent) and Gordon is also thriving as a defender and rebounder on a healthy Nuggets squad.

Draymond Green – Golden State Warriors (5,800)

The Warriors are up and down, but Draymond Green’s play remains mostly good. You know what he brings to the stat sheet.

Centers

(Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports)

Mo Bamba – Orlando Magic ($5,600)

Bol Bol’s rise and Paolo Banchero’s arrival have mostly stolen headlines over in Orlando. But Mo Bamba’s recent upward trend is worth talking about as well.

Games 1-9: 4.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.6 blocks on 42.1 percent shooting

Games 10-17: 13.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks on 53.5 percent shooting

Steven Adams – Memphis Grizzlies ($5,300)

Revenge game for Adams against the Pelicans tonight? Expect him out there a lot to deal with the brute strength of both Jonas Valanciunas and Zion Williamson. In return, he’ll provide rebounding, passing, shot-blocking and some occasional scoring.
