- A five-year-old girl, Sharon Granites, is believed to have been abducted from her family home in Old Timers Camp, Alice Springs, Australia's Northern Territory.
- Sharon was last seen about 11.30pm on Saturday and was reported missing to police at 1.35am on Sunday.
- Mark Grieve, NT police’s acting commander, said a man who was staying at the camp and vanished around the same time could be involved, and the authorities were searching for him.
- Authorities have asked anyone aware of any information related to the case to contact the police.
- Commander Grieve said it is a “terrible situation to have such a young child go missing” and a parent's “worst nightmare”.
