Michael Obafemi struck his second international goal as Republic of Ireland defeated Armenia 3-2 in the Nations League on Tuesday night.
The Swansea City forward unleashed a pile-driver into the net from 25 yards out as Stephen Kenny's men collected all three points to preserve their League B status on the final day of the campaign.
However, the Jack Army were quick to notice what the 22-year-old - who won the man-of-the-match award - did when celebrating his strike at the Aviva Stadium.
After bulging the net, Obafemi raced towards the Irish supporters before slightly bowing his head and sticking a finger into each ear in an attempt to block out the noise.
It comes following Burnley's transfer interest in the former Southampton frontman. The Clarets attempted to recruit Obafemi in the final stages of the summer window, although the Swans rejected the advances of Vincent Kompany's side.
He was left out of Swansea's matchday squads for the games against Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield United as boss Russell Martin admitted Obafemi needed to rediscover his best levels to regain his place in the team.
The Dublin-born star started Swansea's 3-0 win over Hull City on the bench but replaced goal scorer Joel Piroe in the final stages of the contest in south Wales.
Discussing his latest international goal, Obafemi told the Irish media : “Whenever I shoot down this end, it seems to go in. It was a good pass from Dara O’Shea, I took a good first touch, hit it and thankfully it went in,” he said.
“I think we just got a bit sloppy. I feel like we got a bit too comfortable. But ultimately we got the win thanks to Robbie. We’re just glad that we maintained our position in Group B.”
He is expected to be included in the squad for the Swans' trip to West Brom on Saturday afternoon. Kick-off is at 3pm.
