McDonald's one-day warning as five popular items set to be axed from menu

McDonald's fans have just one day left to take advantage of some of its most popular items before they are axed. The fast food giant announced it would be changing its menu from tomorrow (March 29) which means some existing foods are being replaced.

The new menu will see the chain bring back one of its most iconic items after it vanished across the country due to overwhelming demand. The Chicken Big Mac is set to return to all restaurants on March 29 after it caused a frenzy on its debut launch in February 2022 - leading to it selling out in days.

As a twist on the classic Big Mac which has been a staple of the menu for years, the Chicken Big Mac features a triple layered bun, two 100% chicken breast patties in a crispy coating, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles, and is finished with McDonald's classic Big Mac sauce.

But in replacement for the Chicken Big Mac, five much-loved items are set to disappear from the menu.

From tomorrow, McDonalds fans will no longer be able to order the Grand Big Mac, the Grand Big Mac with Bacon, Chilli Cheese bites, Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, or the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry, reports The Mirror.

It appears that although they were popular, the above items were not meant to stay for long, and were only featured temporarily as part of a menu shake-up.

Alongside the return of the Chicken Big Mac, McDonalds as unveiled a brand new burger for those who like their patties to be beefy. The Steakhouse Stack will cost just £5.39 by itself or £6.99 as a meal with chips and a drink.

Mozzarella dippers are also making a comeback, served with a salsa dip replacing the current Chilli Cheese bites.

For dessert, some classic Easter favourites are set to be re-introduced including the Creme Egg McFlurry and the Cadbury Caramel Egg McFlurry.

On Wednesday, the fast food chain is also launching Winning Sips. Customers will get the chance to make the most of their sips and slurps by winning prizes including £10,000 cash, menu favourites, and limited-edition merch including bucket hats, towels and Coca-Cola glasses when purchasing a medium or large soft drink.

The full list of new items being added to the McDonald's menu on March 29 is as follows:
