Martin Zubimendi has flown to London to finalise his move to Arsenal.
The Spain midfielder was photographed at Loiu Airport in Bilbao on Sunday as he jetted to England to complete a transfer to Emirates Stadium worth more than £50million.
His switch to Arsenal from Real Sociedad could be sealed this week.
Arsenal agreed a deal to sign Zubimendi months ago but Real Sociedad wanted the deal to officially go through in July, so it is included in the new financial year.

Zubimendi will form part of a new-look Arsenal midfield next season.
Mikel Arteta has driven the deal for the 25-year-old, who Liverpool attempted to sign last summer and has also been linked with Real Madrid.
Arsenal are also closing in on a deal to sign Brentford captain Christian Norgaard, with Thomas Partey’s departure expected to announced after his contract expires on Monday.
Arsenal have been discussing a fee for Norgaard worth in the region of an initial £10m, with a possible £5m in add-ons.
Partey has been in talks over a new deal to stay at Arsenal but no agreement has been reached.

Jorginho has already left Arsenal this summer at the end of his contract.
Arsenal are also finalising a £5m deal to sign goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea.
The Gunners have also been linked with Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera as Arteta eyes a big summer ahead of another shot at the Premier League title next season.
Arsenal’s top priority is a striker, with Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres seemingly their top targets.
