The person who posted the video thought it was funny, but most people on social media had a different take. Instead of agreeing with the person who posted it, people made fun of the driver for having such a big reaction to just touching a rainbow flag.
A user wrote “Imagine being a grown adult, with a job, and being so cartoonishly repelled by a 6-color flag.” Another user made a joke saying “He’s already touched the flag, it’s too late. Some people pointed out that it was weird the driver was wearing Seattle Kraken gear. Seattle is one of the most LGBT-friendly cities in the country. If the driver really works in Seattle, he’s going to see a lot of Pride flags while making deliveries. The Seattle Kraken team also holds Pride Night events and supports the LGBT community.
The video moved beyond X to other websites like Instagram. Some users made their own versions, with one Instagram account adding a wrestling video showing the Pride flag as the winner. Other people said the reaction showed weakness instead of strength.
What was meant to be shared among people who think the same way became something people laughed at across social media.
