Married At First Sight‘s (MAFS) Sierah Swepstone has broken her silence on one of the season’s most talked about moments: “We shared a plate of meat” dinner with Tony Mojanovski and Adrian Araouzou.
ICYMI, this year’s season of MAFS was jam-packed with drama, especially with the friendship (alleged relationship) of Sierah and Adrian.
To give you a quickie recap, Adrian and Sierah were accused of cheating on Awhina Rutene and Billy Belcher after it was discovered that the pair had hung out behind their MAFS partners’ backs.
Naturally, the cheating scandal reached boiling point at one of the dinner parties when Awhina decided to confront Sierah about their secret dinner.
“We shared a plate of meat. That was all that happened,” Sierah shared, birthing one of the most memorable quotes from this season.
Since then, both fans and members of the MAFS 2025 cast have poked fun at Sierah, using the “plate of meat” quote as some kind of meme.
But now, with the MAFS 2025 cast finally regaining control of their social media, Sierah quickly jumped on to set the record straight on all the hullabaloo surrounding her tumultuous time on the reality TV show.

In an expired Instagram Q&A, the former Bachelor contestant revealed how the dinner plans unfolded.
“Long story short — I removed myself from the apartment on a Friday because I felt emotionally broke and no longer felt comfortable,” Sierah began in the expired IG Story, which has since been reshared by So Dramatic!
“On the Saturday morning, Tony saw me visibly upset. Saturday night, Tony and I crossed paths as he was on his way to go to dinner with Adrian (that dinner would have happened regardless of [sic] if I was there).
“Tony encouraged me to come because he knew something was wrong. I went because I was isolated and struggling and I felt most comfortable with them.”
Sierah went on to slam how the dinner was blown out of proportion, and expressed her frustration with the way it was portrayed on the show.
“The fact Tony’s name was repeatedly removed and framed as Adrian and I going on a date is worse than the plate of meat,” she continued.
“That is is called cooperative story telling… It was calculated, manipulative and malicious — it was done with the expectation that Tony’s name wouldn’t make the edit and we would become cheaters. That kind of collusion could have only occurred if they were speaking outside of filming — PAY ATTENTION.
“It’s a shame that it was so sensationalised because no one questioned why I removed myself, why I felt isolated or why I was crying — those were the real issues.”
Look, with reality TV being reality TV — and MAFS being bloody MAFS — I definitely believe that Sierah, Tony and Adrian’s dinner was blown out of proportion. After all, things can’t be that romantic if it’s the three of them — unless it was like a cheating throuple scandal, which would’ve been ACE for drama.
At the time of writing, neither Adrian nor Tony have spoken out about the “plate of meat” drama.
While Sierah wasn’t my favourite person on this year’s season, it appears that she had a really shitty time and watching it back must’ve been super triggering for her.
