Luis Diaz starts for first time in over six months as Liverpool make three team changes for Tottenham

Luis Diaz makes his first start in over six months as Liverpool entertain Tottenham at Anfield.

Diaz suffered a knee injury in the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal back in early October and suffered a serious setback in his rehabilitation when he broke down during a training session on the club's mid-season trip to Dubai in December.

After undergoing surgery before Christmas, Diaz was finally in a match-squad earlier this month when he came off the bench in the 6-1 hammering of Leeds. Substitute cameos against Nottingham Forest and West Ham have followed since for the Colombian international, who starts against Spurs this afternoon.

Cody Gakpo keeps his place up top with Mohamed Salah completing the front three out on the right for Klopp this afternoon.

As expected, Ibrahima Konate has been passed fit after sitting out the 2-1 win over West Ham on Wednesday night and the France international starts next to Virgil van Dijk as they look to make it four straight wins.

In midfield, Harvey Elliott replaces Jordan Henderson as Curtis Jones and Fabinho keep their place with Alexander-Arnold once more expected to move into midfield when Liverpool have possession at Anfield.

Thiago Alcantara, who wasn't pictured in Friday's training, is absent from the squad with Klopp expected to deliver an update on the midfielder's fitness.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Elliott, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz.

Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Milner, Henderson, Jota, Tsimikas, Nunez, Carvalho, Matip.
