Led Zeppelin fans will be amazed at how trad and tranquil this band member's country home is

Living room, exterior, dining room

Led Zeppelin's bassist John Paul Jones is selling his beautiful, tranquil home, a restored Georgian rectory with eye-catching views in the UK's South West.

With Jones' rocker status, you might have expected the interior design to be a little on the... wild side. Instead, the house is incredibly elegant and traditional. It also has a dreamy, elevated view of the river Dart and rolling hills beyond.

The house was built in the 1760s and has been kept up to date with interiors that complement the beautiful Georgian bones of the property. It has an inviting and bright feel, with high ceilings and grand sash windows, allowing natural light to flood into the rooms.

The house once belonged to Michael Berrow, the British record label owner and manager of Duran Duran, and reportedly was of interest to Kate Winslet when it was last on the market in 2007. Here, we take the tour.

The house has eight bedrooms, six bathrooms and four reception rooms. It has a swimming pool, tennis court, and boathouse, as well as additional outbuildings. These include a stable cottage, a former Sunday school, and a garage located on the waterfront.

Reception rooms include the snug (above), with gallery wall ideas creating an intriguing, layered space that is inviting and cozy.

There is also an open-plan kitchen, diner and living room, with a clever kitchen island banquette that provides casual breakfast dining.

A south-facing sun terrace is one of the top-selling points of the house, a beautiful suntrap is accessible through French doors and overlooks the swimming pool. This would be the perfect area for dining.

The house is located on the edge of the village of Dittisham in Devon. This village is a particularly desired location, known for its charming cottages and narrow streets. The Village has two Inns, and for all those who are keen boaters, it has a sailing club.

The village is around 6 miles from Dartmouth, making it a village that has relatively easy access routes to London (Paddington), Bristol, Birmingham and more. The village is also easily accessible via the A38.

The house is on market for £9,750,000. To book a viewing visit Knight Frank
