King's Birthday Honours 2023: Full list of North East people applauded for their work

All these North East people have gone the extra mile to support their community or shown great dedication in their field of work - and now they are being honoured for their achievements.

The King's Birthday Honours 2023 list has been published and it includes many people from our region who have been praised and hailed as role models. They come from all walks of life and have shown commitment in various fields.

A string of honours have been given out and we have listed them all here, alongside details of the awards. Recipients are based across Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Northumberland.

Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden said: "This year's honours list is a testament to ordinary people who have demonstrated extraordinary community spirit, and I pay tribute to all those who have been recognised today.
