Katie Price wants to tighten up security and build a panic room worth £100k at her Mucky Mansion following the recent death of pet dog Blade, say reports.
The former glamour model, 45, recently suffered the loss of German Shepherd Blade earlier this month when he was tragically killed after being hit by a car.
The pet died after escaping from Katie's Mucky Mansion and onto the nearby A24 before being hit by a vehicle. Blade became the fifth dog and seventh pet that the mum-of-five has lost in recent years, including a horse and chameleon Marvin.
Now, Katie is reportedly planning on ramping up security with an eight-foot high fence, updated CCTV, access to a security team and a panic room among the ideas on her wish list.
A source told The Sun : "Katie wants to go all out and turn her mansion into a fortress.
"Without Blade, she no longer has a protective barrier between her and would-be intruders, and she's determined to put that right as soon as possible.
"None of this is cheap. It's a huge amount of money given Katie's much-publicised financial issues.
"But there is the added benefit that the measures should put an end to any more of her animals escaping."
Speaking out about the ordeal, which happened on June 5, Katie told fans she believes Blade was killed on purpose in a deliberate attack against her.
She revealed officials from the RSPCA had paid her a visit - but did not have any concerns about her animals.
Taking to Instagram, Katie posted: "Update - RSPCA have been up to my house not having any concerns about my animals and never had."
She went on: "We are trying to put together how Blade has been killed and his last steps as this is a deliberate target to kill him."
Grove Lodge Veterinary Group in Sussex first alerted the public to the incident, writing on its Facebook page: "Unfortunately we have had a large shepherd dog handed into our OOH team last night.
"Found on the A24 near dial post. The dog does not have a microchip, however was wearing a brown Louis Vuitton collar."
