Renner surprised the audience by appearing on stage to present the first award of the night, receiving a warm reception from fans. Expressing his gratitude, Renner acknowledged the fans' support and their role in turning movies into movements throughout the year.

After presenting an award to Billie Eilish for her TV performance in Swarm, Renner shared a touching moment with Hiddleston, embracing each other on stage. Hiddleston later accepted the award for sci-fi/fantasy show of the year for the second season of his Disney+ series Loki. In his acceptance speech, he expressed his gratitude to his fiancée Zawe Ashton and reflected on his 14-year journey portraying the iconic character of Loki.

Renner and Hiddleston's collaboration with Marvel dates back to the early days of the MCU, with their characters Hawkeye and Loki crossing paths in various films, including Thor and The Avengers. Both actors transitioned to streaming television with their respective Disney+ series, with Renner mentoring a new character in Hawkeye and Hiddleston exploring the multiverse in Loki.
