Jack Osbourne shares story of 'picky eater' Ozzy Osbourne

Jack Osbourne said dad Ozzy was a 'picky' eater

Jack Osbourne has told how his dad Ozzy Osbourne was a "picky eater".

The 39-year-old star has yet to publicly comment on the passing of the Black Sabbath frontman - who died last month aged 76 - but in an appearance on UK TV show Cooking with the Stars which aired on Sunday (03.08.25) but was filmed prior to the Paranoid rocker's passing, Jack spoke about mealtimes when he was young.

He said: "I grew up on potato waffles until we moved to America.

"We would get take out all the time — apart from times when we had a chef."

Jack - who was 11 when the family left England for the US - joked Ozzy never kept any chef on staff for too long because he was a "picky eater".

He added: "[He'd suddenly decide] 'No, I don't like it anymore,' even though it's some amazing chef."

While Jack hasn't yet spoken about Ozzy's death, his ex-wife Lisa Stelly - the mother of his daughters Pearl, 13, Andie, 10, and seven-year-old Minnie - recently took to Instagram to share some photos of the rocker with his granddaughters over the years.

She captioned her post: "The world got Ozzy. We got Papa. One of one. Larger than life. It hurts to say goodbye, but what a gift it was to have him. We will never stop missing you."

Jack also has three-year-old daughter Maple with wife Aree Gearhart.

His sister, Kelly Osbourne, recently broke her silence on Instagram, poignantly sharing the lyrics from Black Sabbath's song Changes, which she and her dad released a version of in 2003.

She wrote: "I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had [broken heart emoji]. (sic)"

At Ozzy's public funeral procession last week, both Jack and Kelly shared subtle tributes to their dad.

Kelly honoured Ozzy's distinct sense of style with a pair of round blue-tinted glasses and her brother wore a black Chrome Hearts tie with a silver cross embellishment in a nod to his dad's fondness for cross jewellery.

And their sister Aimee Osbourne, who typically stays out of the spotlight, referenced Ozzy's notorious bat-biting incident from 1982 by wearing a brooch in the shape of the winged mammal.

Their mother, Sharon Osbourne, leant over to place a pink rose down and what appeared to be Ozzy's wedding ring could be seen dangling from a long chain around her neck.
