ITV Starstruck: Olly Murs close to tears after teacher's stunning Adele performance

The aim of the game on ITV1's Starstruck is to impress judges Adam Lambert, Jason Manford, Ronan Keating (who was stepping in for Shania Twain) and Beverly Knight with their best impressions of a famous singer. And this week team Adele won and an emotional Abbie was sent through to the final.

At first, the team performed the hit Easy on Me which meant they beat other impersonators on the show including those imitating Elvis and James Brown. After that Abbie was up against her fellow Adele impersonators Tasmin and Sam and had to impress the studio audience while performing Rolling in the Deep as they voted for who they thought was best.

A shocked Abbie became emotional as she was announced as the winner. Earlier in the show, Abbie who is a high school teacher, said she wanted to prove to her young daughter that she can do anything she wants to do.

After hearing that Abbie had won, her daughter also became emotional and could be seen crying in the crowd. While speaking to Abbie host Olly Murs said: "Oh god, you are going to make me cry!"

She replied: "I can't even process. I've met two amazing people and obviously thank you to the audience and the judges for putting all of us through." Many viewers on Twitter believed Abbie was the worthy winner.

One said: "Not only sounds like her but looks very much like her too. The Best One Won" and another added: "Worthy winner. Had all her mannerisms down to a tee. She shone through singing rolling in the deep". A third said: "The best Adele won, she was fantastic #starstruck".
