Ross later ended up in a fight with brother Pete (Anthony Quinlan), in which viewers thought Ross ended up dead.

However, in an unexpected twist, he was revealed to be alive and well, before making his final appearance in November 2018 when he left the village with Rebecca White and her son Sebastian White to move to Liverpool for a fresh start after he was offered a new job.

Ross was a firm favourite amongst fans with his on-screen character even earning the actor awards for Best Actor and Best Bad Boy at the Inside Soap Awards.

The actor compared himself to famous boxer Paul Sykes in a tongue and cheek caption, he penned: "Paul Sykes vibes", and it wasn't long before the comments section was flooded with compliments from his 248,000 followers.

One fan gushed: "Wow" alongside a heart-eyed emoji.

While another added: "It doesn't look like you". A third follower posted: "Still look hot" alongside a flame emoji. A fourth social media user said: "You still remain fit as."

It was reported that the soap hunk was considering making steamy scenes a full-time pursuit following his steamy scenes in the Dales.

Mike claimed he was considering trying his hand at pornographic acting and he was offered a role in the adult film industry.
