Leyla Cavanagh 's struggle with cocaine appears to be edging closer and closer to devastating consequences. After agreeing to stash dealer Callum's drugs in her office, Leyla was horrified to find out they were stolen.
Previously, viewers had seen vengeful Matty Barton sneak into the office and take the bag after seeing Leyla's party friend Suzy chatting with Callum. Fans had learned recently that Suzy was responsible for lending his sister Holly the money for the drugs that led to her overdose.
Gunning for revenge, Matty decides to hide the drugs in Suzy's car and call the police. But viewers spotted a flaw in the plan as he used a crowbar to prize open the boot and stuff the bag beneath a blanket.

@perfectmanda observed: "Haha OK matty number one you are right by the shop so cctv and also you've left your finger prints on the boot you moron. Can see this one backfireing! #emmerdale "
While @ScullyScully73 asked: "I wonder if Matty thought to wipe his prints of the bag and drugs inside?" And @s6floozy said: "Still no gloves Matty? #Emmerdale The boy is an idiot."
And @VampLover27 predicted: "So now Matty’s gonna call the police and get Suzy arrested and all the drugs confiscated leading to Leyla’s murder #Emmerdale."
Despite his best efforts though, Matty's plan looks doomed to fail after a desperate call for a karaoke machine leads Leyla to find Callum's missing stash. And some fan predictions about her fate look even more likely after temptation gets the better of her and she's found unconscious by her husband, Liam, suspected of overdosing.
In the hospital, the furious doctor has some harsh words about his wife. Speaking with Manpreet, he suggests that there won't be a future for the two of them if she chooses a "cheap thrill" over living her life.
Fans were divided about whether they agreed with the doctor's harsh words. @mikepriestley13 said: "Drugs have consequences Leyla. Looks like you’re luck has run out."
@AprilQuinn2x reasoned: "Liam is right. Leyla’s choice. #emmerdale "
But @MrshortieUK didn't agree, reasoning: "Liam that's harsh #Emmerdale ". While @Zoe4UmbrAcad was shocked by Liam's response: "Well I was going to say how great it is that Leyla secret is [out] and how supportive her husband is, but it has since done a uturn and shocked he may leave her. #emmerdale "
While @callikitson questioned: "I am starting to think Liam should've chosen Bernice on his wedding day after all tbh. Can Liam and Leyla's marriage really survive? #Emmerdale "
