ITV Coronation Street's Jude Riordan 'in love' as he welcomes new family addition

Coronation Street's Jude Riordan said his dream had come true as he welcomed a new family addition.

The 11-year-old from St Helens is renowned to soap fans for his role as Sam Blakeman on the Cobbles. Jude first arrived on Weatherfield in 2020 and has since faced a turbulent time on the show as he lost his mum, Natasha, when she was accidentally shot by the murderous Harvey Mellor.

Jude has become embroiled in another dark storyline last week as he told his nan, Audrey Roberts, he wanted to see the Northern Lights in Canada. This has unknowingly scuppered the plans of killer, Stephen Reid, after they suggested they could stay in one of his properties to save money.

The star's life away from the screen is fortunately less turbulent. His social media accounts are ran by his mum and she has taken to Instagram to reveal Jude is in love with the family's new pet dog, Rufus.

A snap of Jude with the cocker spaniel was shared with his 74.1k Instagram followers alongside the caption: "Hey Gang, say hi to RUFUS. I have been asking for a puppy for 4 years and the dream has come true. He is so chilled. Ruby is sussing him out but I hope they'll be BFs soon. He's a cocker spaniel. LOOK at his eyes they are green. I LOVE HIM."

Fans flooded the comment to swoon over the update.

Corrie star Kel Allen said: "Those faces!"

Amy added: "Aww so cute!! "

Hayley commented : "Aww Jude, hes a beauty."

Catherine posted: "That’s Amazing! He’s so gorgeous!"
