ITV have released further details about the show that is being billed as the broadcaster's 'older' version of Love Island, including its new name - My Mum, Your Dad.
ITV bosses announced plans for The Romance Retreat, the series' original name, back in January, with an online teaser on the ITV website reading: "ITV1 are looking for vibrant single parents from across the UK who are in search of love, for a brand new dating show! This is the ONLY dating show where single parents can search for love, by spending time in a luxury retreat, where all the parents have been nominated by their grown up children."
A few months later, it was then confirmed that ex Big Brother host Davina McCall would be presenting the programme, with the popular TV star over the moon to be given the job, posting on Instagram to write: "Omg.. I manifested and it came true !! I’ll be hosting a brand NEW grown up dating series for ITV1! This is a show for single parents who have lived a life , have stories to tell about their dating pasts and deserve another chance at love and I’m gonna help you. It will all take place in the most romantic countryside location!"

ITV have now given further information on My Mum, Your Dad. . Across 10 hour-long episodes, audiences will be able to follow the single parents, from all over the UK, and all walks of life, as they live together at a stunning country house retreat with one objective: to find true love.
But there’s a twist - unbeknownst to the parents, their kids will be watching their every move from a nearby location called ‘The Bunker’. It is there in the surveillance room that they’ll be able to witness all the action of their parents’ journeys to find love, plus get the opportunity to play matchmaker and decide their mum or dad’s dating fate.
From humorous moments to heart-warming confessions, the kids will see their parents in a whole new light as they are presented with opportunities to select who they’ll be matched with on one-to-one dates, and who may join the family celebrations for years to come.
Davina added:“ Thank goodness the secret is finally out! I’ve been bursting to tell!!! I’m so so excited to host My Mum, Your Dad - this show will have you so invested in the people in it.
