‘It’s all I could ever want’: Kourtney Kardashian gushes about Travis Barker’s amazing parenting skills with their blended family

Reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian Barker shared a heartfelt Father’s Day tribute to her husband, Travis Barker, on Sunday, June 15, celebrating their blended family of nine. The POOSH founder posted several photos of Barker, including pictures with their baby son, Rocky, and their combined children from previous relationships.

According to People, the couple, who had a stunning wedding celebration in May 2022, has successfully merged their families. Kardashian, 46, has three children (Mason, Penelope, and Reign) with former partner Scott Disick, while Barker, 49, has three children (Landon, Alabama, and stepdaughter Atiana) from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler. The couple welcomed their first child together, Rocky Thirteen Barker, in November 2023.

During a May 2022 episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian expressed her admiration for Barker’s parenting abilities, stating, “He is a really amazing father. It’s one of the reasons that I fell in love with him. He is very, very patient. I think because we’ve all known each other for years, it does make it easier to blend our families. It’s all I could ever want.”

A couple faces challenges in accommodating a growing family under one roof

The reality star revealed in February 2025 that the family has been working on home renovations to accommodate their large blended family. Kardashian admitted that after Rocky’s birth, she temporarily lived at Barker’s house, which required adjustment for everyone involved.

The TV personality expressed her desire to create a space where the entire family can feel at home, mentioning that all the children will likely have rooms in both houses. She emphasized the importance of making space for everyone in their blended family setup.

In a recent exclusive interview with People following his Run Travis Run 5K in New Orleans, Barker shared insights about his parenting approach. The Blink-182 drummer revealed that his 15-month-old son Rocky, is already showing interest in music, playing drums and guitar “constantly, 24/7.”

Barker also discussed his parenting philosophy, expressing his hope to lead by example as his children develop. He acknowledged that while children are born with their own DNA and personality, parents can guide them in the right direction, adding that he also plays guitar alongside his drumming abilities.
