Ireland are awaiting UEFA's decision on their opening Nations League games in June with their home tie with Ukraine set to be postponed.
FIFA and UEFA have agreed with the Ukrainian FA' request to switch their World Cup play-off semi-final away to Scotland from March to June.
Ireland are due to play Ukraine on June 4, but that date now looks likely to be used for the Ukraine v Scotland game, with the play-off final set to be fixed for June 7.
Ireland are also down to host the Scots in the Nations League on June 11 and one option could be for Ireland to start their campaign with a home tie with Armenia - who were due to play Scotland the same day - before taking on the Armenians in Yerevan on June 7 as scheduled.
Ireland are also due to play in Ukraine on June 14, thus the series of fixtures is fluid at the moment.
"The Football Association of Ireland is aware of the postponement of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 play-off game between Scotland and Ukraine," read a FAI statement.
"We are currently in talks with UEFA on the implications of this postponement for our UEFA Nations League fixtures in June and will update when we have more information."
Confirmation of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny's new deal, which is expected to last until Euro 2024, is expected in the coming days.
