He has already played 10 times for his country, scoring once.
Kenny, on the other hand, remains in search of his first senior Ireland cap, despite scoring at the weekend.
His fellow countryman and club teammate, Idah, has yet to find the back of the net this season, yet he will heed his country's call.
Both Scales and the striker will be keen to help Celtic progress to the Champions League proper this evening against Kairat Almaty.
The crucial play-off tie is currently poised at 0-0 on aggregate.
