Well, it’s official: Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have ended their engagement, wrapping up nearly ten years of on-and-off romance, red carpet moments, and one very adorable daughter together.
The news, confirmed by multiple sources to Us Weekly, comes after months of speculation from fans and the media alike.
A source close to the pair told Us Weekly, “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life”.
So, while it’s sad news for fans of the pop star and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, there is seemingly no bad blood — just a mutual decision to go their separate ways.

According to insiders, the split has been “a long time coming”.
“[Katy] and Orlando have always lived in their other Montecito home as their primary residence,” the source added, clarifying that the duo were “planning on making the Westcott home their family home but plans have changed”.
Things have reportedly been tense for months, with both stars spending more and more time apart, especially since Perry kicked off her Lifetimes tour earlier this year.
“They’ve grown apart and aren’t living the same lives anymore,” another source told Us Weekly.
The couple, who share four-year-old Daisy Dove, have reportedly “been living apart since Katy has been on tour”.
Both Bloom, 47, and Perry, 40, were spotted in Perth just last weekend, however the couple were not seen together in public during this time.
TMZ reports that he is expected to make his “debut as a single man” in Venice at the upcoming wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.
No official statement has come from either Perry or Bloom.
If you’ve been following the breadcrumbs, the signs were all there. Katy Perry was spotted in Melbourne partying without her engagement ring and fans have been convinced things were over after she performed a breakup song at her Sydney concert.
Adding fuel to the fire, another source told Us Weekly that Perry’s controversial space flight apparently drove a wedge between the pair, with Bloom reportedly calling the whole thing “cringeworthy” and “embarrassing”.
So, while the official word is that it’s an amicable split, it’s clear the writing’s been on the wall for a while.
