I'm A Celeb fans baffled after Mike Tindall 'forgets Queen has died' with odd remark

Remarks made by I'm A Celebrity stars Mike Tindall and Seann Walsh have left viewers baffled, and jokingly questioning if the show is pre-recorded.

While taking part in a challenge during Friday's episode, Mike, who is married Princess Anne's daughter Zara, referred to the late Queen Elizabeth II in the present tense.

Earlier in programme, Seann had said footballer Jill Scott should go on comedy panel show Mock The Week, which ended in October after 17 years on air.

Viewers were quick to pounce on the inconsistency of the remarks from the campmates, both who failed to make it into tonight's final, which, to the shock and fury of many, includes former health secretary Matt Hancock, alongside Jill and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner.

One viewer said: "Was I’m A Celebrity actually filmed in August or something? Mike referencing the Queen as if she’s still alive, Seann talking about Mock The Week (RIP both), reports the MEN.

The same viewer than added in the comments: "This was supposed to be a joke."

Another said: " Mike Tindall "The Queen has the biggest collection of pigeons" Has no one told him???"

A third person wrote: " Seann Walsh thinks Jill Scott could do Mock the Week. Who's gonna break the news to him?"

A fourth person penned: "Mike doesn't know the Queen died. Seann doesn't know they cancelled Mock the Week. What next? Matt thinks Liz Truss is still PM? #ImACeleb."

In Friday's episode, Mike and Matt took on the bushtucker trial, Fallen Stars, which saw the rugby star answer questions in order to earn Matt time to solve puzzles in cages full of creepy crawlies and animals.

During the trial, Mike was asked the term given to a person who keeps and breeds pigeons.

Mike opted for the term pigeon enthusiast, while the correct answer was pigeon fancier, meaning he was dunked in a tank.

Choosing to speak directly about the Queen for the first time on the show, Mike said, after getting the answer wrong: "And the worst thing is the Queen has got the biggest collection of pigeon’s."

Mike attended the Queen's funeral at Westminster Abbey in September, after her death at the age of 96.

The sportsman and dad-of-three did not speak often about royal life while on I'm A Celeb, but he did chat about Buckingham Palace with Owen.

Viewers were puzzled by remarks made by Seann and Mike Tindall (ITV)

The Hollyoaks actor asked: "Have you been to Buckingham Palace much?" to which Mike replied: "More than most."

When Owen asked: "What’s it like there?" Mike said: "A lot of it’s all the state rooms and there’s only a little bit of living. Yeah [I’ve stayed there]."

Owen then quizzed: "In the morning could you go down in your joggers and t-shirt, or did you have to get dressed up again?"

Mike surprised him as he admitted: "No, jeans and a tee," to which Owen said: "I thought you had to be suited and booted!"
