John Mitchell’s team only seems to be getting stronger as the tournament progresses, and will only improve in this semi-final as Hannah Botterman and Ellie Kildunne return to the squad after an injury layoff.
This is a tie which England habitually win. They have not been beaten by their cross-channel rivals since 2018, beating them 16 times since.
Naturally, their two most recent meetings follow that same trend. England took a narrow one-point win in a thrilling Six Nations decider at Twickenham, before securing a more comfortable 40-6 win in a pre-World Cup warm-up.
France will be without two key players in this match, too, as Axelle Berthomieu and Manae Feleu are both suspended for biting and dangerous tackling, respectively.
