The Hell questline in Roblox’s Type Soul is one of the most complex quest chains. If you want to unlock Hell and eventually get True Bankai, you need to complete this questline. To get to Hell, you will need to complete lots of specific requirements. This comprehensive guide will explain everything clearly, helping you to complete the questline and reach Hell.
How to Get to Hell in Type Soul
You need to reach Elite grade before starting the Hell questline. If you don’t reach this Grade, the NPCs will not give you the correct responses, and the questline will not trigger. If the Jeanette NPC tells you to fight in the Arena, that means you are not Elite yet.
Find the Radio in Wandenreich
Go to Wandenreich and follow the left outer edge of the city. From there, you need to head toward the castle-like building and find a door with two lanterns. Inside, you will find the first radio.
Simply stand near it until a sound plays, then leave the building. This will activate the first part of the questline and unlock the next NPC interaction.
Talk to Mephistopheles
After hearing the radio, you need to turn right and walk through the buildings. On the street near a gray wall, you will see Mephistopheles, a white-haired NPC. If you’ve correctly followed the first two steps, he will say, "You heard it, right? Did you?"
If he does not say this dialogue, you need to go back and check if the radio sound played fully.
Speak to Calcabrina
Now, you need to head to the base of the stairs in Wandenreich and walk straight forward. There, you will find Calcabrina, standing near a pillar. Go through his dialogue repeatedly until he kills you with a beam.
If he does not attack, you need to win a Raid in Wandenreich. After that, return and speak to him again. This step is necessary for Jeanette to trigger the proper dialogue later.
Talk to Jeanette in Wandenreich
From the main castle area, you need to go left, then make a right. You will find Jeanette a little past the quest board. Simply interact with her and check her dialogue.
The correct dialogue is, “You seem like you don’t need to progress anymore… You should go to the otherworld!” This means you completed all previous steps properly.
The wrong dialogue is, “You seem like you don’t need to progress anymore… You should go fight in the Arena!” You need to go back and listen to the Wandenreich radio again, then try talking to her once more.
Listen to the Radio in Rukon District
Now travel to the Rukon District. Here, you need to head to the far-left corner of the map. Outside a brown house, you will hear a loud honking radio sound. Stand near it until the noise completes.
Speak to Jeanette in Rukon District
Jeanette will now spawn somewhere in the Rukon District. She has three possible locations to spawn. Talk to her after you hear the second radio.
Now, a cutscene will trigger automatically. This will confirm that you have made successful progress in the Hell questline.
Return to Mephistopheles in Wandenreich
Finally, you need to go back to Wandenreich and speak to Mephistopheles one final time. He will now say: “Gabriel, he wants to see you…Gabriel will arrive soon… he’ll tell you about it…” Doing so, you will complete the Hell questline.
Hell Portal Location in Type Soul
The Hell portal or Hell door can be accessed once you've achieved your Bankai, Res, or Vollstandig in Type Soul. It is located behind the Basketball court in Karakura Town and can be entered after talking to the Qas J. Ward NPC.
Do note that entering this portal lets you access the Layer 1 area of Hell. To progress down to Layer 2, you will need to beat the Guardian Boss located in the depths of Layer 1.
