House of the Dragon UK TV channel and broadcast time

The early reviews for House of the Dragon would suggest it’s going to be just as popular as its predecessor Game of Thrones, with producers hopefully avoiding some of the pitfalls that later episodes of the latter fell into.

And with a cast that boasts such famous names as Paddy Considine (King Viserys I Targaryen), Matt Smith (Prince Daemon Targaryen), Emma D'Arcy (Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen), Olivia Cooke (Lady Alicent Hightower) and Rhys Ifans (Ser Otto Hightower), it’s not surprising that the new HBO series would be a success. The new series has been created by showrunners Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik with George RR Martin’s express consent.

Sapochnik worked on some of the most famous episodes of Game of Thrones, winning an Emmy for his directing of “Battle of the Bastards” in season six.
