Home Bargains, Lidl and Tesco warning as products pulled from shelves due to health risk

Shops have recalled a number of products due to safety concerns.

Home Bargains, Lidl and Tesco have all pulled items from their shelves in recent days amid safety fears. Customers are being urged to not eat them if they have purchased them and instead to return them to the store for a full refund.

When a product is recalled, for any reason, the Food Safety Agency (FSA) shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is potentially hazardous.

Both the FSA and Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) issues recalls for a variety of reasons, including when a food product contains allergens that are not disclosed or the item is defective. No receipt is necessary when returning the item.
