Holly Willoughby was left in stitches by a Hollywood star’s saucy innuendos as she returned to our screens with her new show.
The former This Morning presenter, who departed ITV’s daytime programme in 2023, announced earlier this month that she was launching an “exciting new project”: a lifestyle series called Holly Willoughby Together, which would be released on YouTube.
The first episode dropped on Tuesday (28 July), and saw Willoughby in the kitchen with The Devil Wears Prada star Stanley Tucci.
In the episode, Willoughby, 45, and Tucci, 65, worked together to make Tucci’s trademark dish, a cheese and courgette spaghetti dish known as pasta alla nerano.
While preparing to cook, the Oscar-nominated actor showed Willoughby to some good quality ingredients, including a pack of small green and yellow courgettes.
“I’ve never seen one that looks like this,” Willoughby said, with Tucci quipping: “That’s not what I’ve heard.”
Willoughby cracked up laughing at the suggestive comment along with the show’s crew, shouting: “Stanley!” to scold her guest as her husband Dan Baldwin walked in behind the camera.
“Just as my husband walked into the room,” she laughed, while holding the vegetable up to the camera.
Later in the episode, Willoughby and Tucci played a game of quickfire questions, where Tucci read out in confusion: “‘Bag first, water first or milk first?’ What does that mean?”
“What do you think that might be referring to?” Willoughby quizzed him, before offering a clue.
“What’s a very British thing to do first thing in the morning? What do we like?” she asked, with Tucci looking to camera and replying: “Well, I’m sure everyone’s different. I know what I like.”
Two episodes of Holly Willoughby Together will be dropping every week, with the show seeing the British presenter covering topics such as practical advice, fashion, beauty and health.
Celebrity guests will also be getting involved, including Emma Bunton, Nicole Appleton, Joanne McNally and Katherine Ryan.
Launching the channel, Willoughby said: “I’m so proud of the work all the team who make Together have put into this exciting new project. We’ve had a lot of fun developing it and look forward to seeing what you think.”
