As we've seen multiple times in the past, Honda loves to team up with Sanrio on cute, limited-edition collaborative motorbikes, particularly of the small-displacement variety and particularly in various Asian markets. Take this adorable Hello Kitty scooter, for example. Or even more to the point, this Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary Super Cub.
While Hello Kitty is easily the most universally well-known Sanrio character out there, there are many fans (myself most certainly included) of other characters in the brand's arsenal, including the one and only Kuromi. So of course, when Honda decided to make some cute Kuromi panels available for the current-gen Honda Monkey, I had an irrepressible need to tell you all about them.
And now, Honda's taken that Kuromi love just another step further, and in a way that you can wear and appreciate every single day if you like. Friends, there is now a Honda x Kuromi apparel collection, and although it's made and marketed toward the Japanese market, it can apparently be shipped worldwide. The pricing isn't too bad for this kind of thing, either (trust me, I've been a fan of enough things over a lengthy period of time to know).
Danger; I repeat. Danger! Hide your Sanrio-obsessed kids (including yourself, if you're me), and probably also hide your wallet.
I know things are tough for many of us right now, and I also know that many of us probably vacillate pretty regularly between "groceries and gas cost HOW much now?!" and also "let me get myself a little treat so I don't walk directly into traffic" if we spend too much time thinking about it.
If you're feeling that little treat vibe, and you're simultaneously a Honda and Kuromi fan, then I probably shouldn't tell you that the socks in this collection cost just ¥ 990 (about US $6.20 at the time of writing). In fact, the most expensive items in this current collection are just ¥ 6,990 (about US $44), and that's for your choice of either a charcoal gray or light gray zip-up hoodie with cute Honda x Kuromi branding on the back, front, and sleeves.
